We are closing our second week of petitioning, leaving us with four weeks left! It is important that everyone sends in their petition sheets to your local chapter, regional coordinator (see petitioning portal) or directly to Fred Cole (1017 Roberta Rd. Schenectady, NY 12303) so we can get them in!
Before sending them in, be sure to check everything to make sure we are receiving as many valid signatures as possible! LPNY State Chair Jim Rosenbeck has created a video instructing petitioners on how to check their sheets. Click here to view the video on YouTube.
We need 15,000 signatures, but our goal is 30,000 so as to address any challenges to our petitions.
Fred Cole has reported that he has received 3,588 signatures as of Sunday, July 22. That is our official count. We know there are over 2,500 other signatures out there that are on their way or have not been sent to Fred.
However, this means we still need to collect at least 23,000 signatures. Any little bit counts. Go to the petitioning portal and print out the petition sheets and go get signatures! We also have the petitioning guide on that page. If you are unable to print them and would like us to mail you petition sheets, please let us know so we can get them in the mail to you.
If you have not done so already, please go to www.larrysharpe.com to an subscribe to their e-mail list to get updates on Larry Sharpe, our nominee for governor. His campaign is running strong, and we are three and a half months away from the election. If you are not already following the campaign, more, get updates, attend events, volunteer, donate, etc.
Petitioning workshop. If you would like a petitioning workshop in your area, contact your local chapter or regional director (see petitioning portal) or contact us and we can work with regional coordinators to get something set up.
