On August 25, the Erie County Libertarian Party held their annual convention and election of officers at Chef’s Restaurant in Buffalo.
The convention was called to order and LPNY State Chair Jim Rosenbeck spoke to the group on petitioning, county committees, post-election changes in regards to recognized party status, the strengths of local committees, documentation, and goals.
Edward Garrett, secretary and founding chairman, was elected Chair. Alyce Auman, who has been active in the Libertarian Party, more recently as Erie County Organizer and Petitioning Coordinator for Erie County during the Larry Sharpe campaign, was elected Vice Chair. Incumbent Chair Kevin Cruver was elected Secretary, and Duane Whitmer was elected Treasurer. Kevin Cruver remains the Erie County Representative to the State Committee, where he also serves as Chair of the Messaging Subcommittee.
The chapter also appointed committees, including Alyce Auman to Events and Membership and Kevin Cruver to Candidate Recruitment.
