The second Empire State Freedom Summit was held at the Rail Line in Syracuse on November 10-11, 2023. The event began on Friday evening with entertainment from comedian, writer, and author Lou Perez. Following this, 2024 Libertarian Presidential candidates were given an opportunity to address the attendees and take questions. Two such candidates were present for this opportunity: Joshua Smith and Mike ter Maat.
On Saturday, the event began in the afternoon with three speakers who had never spoken at an LPNY event before: Shane Hazel, a Libertarian candidate who spoke on Bitcoin; Dr. Clayton Baker of the Brownstone Institute, who spoke on medical freedom; and Dan Warmus, founder of Auditing Erie County, who spoke on First Amendment Audits. Saturday evening concluded the event with a fundraiser, including a silent auction.
